No. 38 Routemaster Bus

This drawing was produced for the daughter of a bus driver’s father, originally from Hackney, and eventually emigrated to Australia. The drawing was typed on James’ 1973 Adler Tippa typewriter. Two versions of this subject as commissions. The first was sent to a customer in the UK and the second was posted to Australia.

This artwork was featured in James’ first exhibition of his work. The BBC News article of the display can be read here:
